🍗 Butter Chicken Recipe

🛒 Ingredients:

  • For the Marinade:

    • 500g chicken (boneless, cut into cubes)
    • 1/2 cup yogurt
    • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp garam masala
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • Salt to taste
  • For the Gravy:

    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 large onion (finely chopped)
    • 3 tomatoes (pureed)
    • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
    • 1 tsp garam masala
    • 1/2 cup fresh cream
    • 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
    • Salt to taste
    • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

🔥 Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • In a bowl, mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt.
    • Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  2. Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat oil in a pan and grill the chicken pieces until golden brown.
    • Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Gravy:

    • In the same pan, add butter and sauté onions until golden brown.
    • Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
    • Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
    • Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
    • Cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Combine & Simmer:

    • Add the cooked chicken to the gravy.
    • Stir in fresh cream and kasuri methi.
    • Let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
  5. Garnish & Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
    • Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
