PANEER TIKKA RECIPE


Paneer Tikka Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Paneer (cottage cheese) – 250 g (cut into cubes)
  • Thick curd (yogurt) – ½ cup
  • Besan (gram flour) – 2 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) – 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Capsicum, onion, and tomato – 1 each (cut into cubes)
  • Skewers or toothpicks

Marination:

  1. In a bowl, whisk the curd until smooth.
  2. Add besan, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, chaat masala, kasuri methi, lemon juice, oil, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add paneer cubes, capsicum, onion, and tomato to the marinade. Coat evenly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (for better flavor, marinate for 2-3 hours).

Cooking Methods:

Tawa/Grill:

  • Heat oil on a tawa or grill pan.
  • Place marinated paneer and veggies on skewers.
  • Cook on medium flame until golden brown, turning occasionally.

Oven:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Arrange the skewers on a baking tray lined with foil.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air Fryer:

  • Preheat to 200°C.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway.

Serving:

  • Sprinkle chaat masala and lemon juice before serving.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
